About Rev. Ekole

Rev. Ekole Alexander Netunde is the third child in his family and was born on 27 July 1983 in Kake 1, Kumba, to the late Pa Ekole Wilson and Madam Ekole Felicia Iteke. He grew up surrounded by family and faith, and he has three sisters.

A dynamic pastor and community leader, Rev. Ekole combines pastoral ministry with practical development work, especially solar electrification for communities and homes.

Life & Formation

Early schooling: He attended PS Manyemen and PS Kumba Town (Class 1–7) where he obtained his FSLC — earning a merit in Religion.

Secondary education: GBHS Mundemba — O Levels (2003) and A Levels (2005).

University: University of Yaoundé I — studied Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology.

Theological training: Enrolled at Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2010 and graduated in 2013 with a B.Th. (Theology). He was subsequently sent to Njiwo Parish (Njikwa Presbytery).

Leadership & Community Service

Rev. Ekole served as the youth representative for Njikwa sub-division, a role that earned him a Voluntary Certificate from the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education in recognition of his service.

He was the elected Inter-Church Committee Chairperson for the Ngwo Bible Translation Project (a partnership with CABTAL), contributing to scripture access in local languages.

He also served as a Court Registrar for five years at the High Court (Ndian) and the Court of First Instance (Mundemba), bringing administrative discipline and civic service to his work.

He received his certification from Aparas Tech and has overseen numerous installations and client trainings.
